William Shakespeare's "merry war betwixt" two of his strongest and wittiest characters will be set against the backdrop of Alta California, two decades before the Gold Rush. The music and atmosphere of Spanish California accompanies a smart and funny love story, involving two sets of lovers, two rival Dons, two weddings -- and the real possibility of several funerals.
